Red Bull Air Race for the first time in France
An international event organized by Red Bull will be held from the 20th until the 22nd of April 2018 in Cannes.
The world championship, runs from February to November 2018 on several continents: Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), Cannes (France), Budapest (Hungary), Kazan (Russia), Indianapolis (United States) ...
The organizers hope to receive 100,000 spectators over three days from April 20th to 22nd.
What is the Red Bull Air Race?
Competition aircrafts that will fly between 25 and 30 meters above the water, in the bay of Cannes, around a circuit delimited by blow-up columns.
These are acrobatic propeller planes of about 500 kilos, flying
at nearly 400km/h, the pilots are submitted to forces of up to 10G or 10 times
their weight. Red Bull launched this event in 2004 before the creation of the
world championship in 2005, run by 10 pilots during 7 events.
