Cannes Film Festival Dates : May 8 to May 19, 2018

World famous, the Cannes Film Festival celebrates the Film Festival for more than 70 years and is one of the most publicized events in the world, including its opening ceremony and its rise to the red carpet where the stars are succeed and sublimate La Croisette. 

Since 1946, the very famous Cannes Film Festival has honoured the 7th Art and has been honouring the diversity of international film creation through several competitions and has awarded the prize for the best film: the Palme d'Or. 

This competition reveals and highlights works of quality and new talents. It also promotes the development of the industry throughout the world.  It is organized by the French Association of the International Film Festival, which brings together the Cannes Film Festival, the Cinéfondation and the Marché du Film. 

In order to seek a better mediatisation of the charts, this year the International Film Festival will take place a little earlier than in previous years. The opening will take place on Tuesday, May 8 in the evening and the awards ceremony on Saturday, May 19.  Also, starting on Tuesday will allow the addition of a gala evening before the first weekend of the event as well as the organization of previews of the opening film throughout France. 

For this 71st edition, the master of ceremonies will be, for the third time, Edouard Baer. The Australian actress Cate BLANCHETT will be the President of the Jury, succeeding the Spanish Pedro Almodóvar.

Cinema enthusiasts, film industry professionals, journalists, international stars, a large audience of viewers and viewers, glitz and glamor will come together.
